My name is Adriana Chacón.

This portfolio was created to keep evidence of my performance through the semester. You can read a short biography and my professional goals by scrolling down in this page.

About me

I was born and raised in Durango, México. I finished my BA in Information Technology at the Instituto Tecnologico de Villa Montemorelos on January 2005. I started teaching English on July 2004 at the Universidad del Valle de Guadiana. I have been teaching English at the Escuela de Lenguas (School of Languages) since February 2005.

I love teaching, dancing, cooking, baking, laughing, watching movies, listening to music, dealing with people, singing and of course, spending time with my beloved ones!

Professional Goals

I am currently taking a Master's Degree in TESOL with the university of St Mark and St John (MARJON). I am interested in Discourse Analysis specifically the impact of the language used by the teacher and code switching in the ELT classroom; online language acquisition and the effectiveness of materials created by the teacher.
